In plain English
Some of the links on Stack NPC are affiliate links. If you click one and end up purchasing a subscription, plan, or product, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. This helps fund our editorial work.
We follow Australian Consumer Law (ACL) and ACCC guidance on identifying advertising and affiliate content, alongside FTC Endorsement Guides where applicable.
What is an affiliate link?
An affiliate link is a tracked URL provided by a vendor or partner network. When you click it and complete a qualifying action (signup, purchase, free trial), the vendor pays Stack NPC a referral fee. The price you pay is identical whether you use our link or visit the product website directly.
Programmes we participate in
Stack NPC currently participates in (or evaluates) the following affiliate networks and direct programmes:
- Impact (multiple SaaS and tech vendors)
- PartnerStack (B2B software programmes)
- Amazon Associates (occasional product references)
- Direct affiliate programmes with individual SaaS vendors when they offer better terms or first-party tracking
We do not participate in programmes for products we would not be willing to recommend on editorial merit.
How affiliate links affect our reviews
They do not.
- We test products before linking to them (or clearly state that we have not, when that is the case)
- We compare alternatives even when one affiliate programme pays better than another
- We criticise products we link to when criticism is warranted
- We retire affiliate links to products we no longer recommend
If you ever read a review where the verdict feels disconnected from the experience described, email us at [email protected]. We treat that feedback seriously.
How to spot an affiliate link
Affiliate links on Stack NPC are inline within the article body, typically as the brand name or a “Try X” / “Visit X” call-to-action. They open in a new tab. The destination URL contains a tracking parameter (visible in your browser’s status bar before clicking).
Plain reference links to documentation, pricing pages, news articles, or research sources are not affiliate links.
Sponsored content (separate from affiliate)
If we ever publish sponsored content (paid placement by a vendor), it will be:
- Labelled prominently at the top of the article as “Sponsored” or “In partnership with [Brand]” — in compliance with ACL and ACCC rules on identifiable advertising
- Subject to our editorial standards (we will not publish sponsored content we would not stand behind)
- Tagged separately from organic editorial content
As of this page’s last update, Stack NPC has not published any sponsored content. When that changes, this section will be updated.
